Mobile Phone uses Coke as battery

Designer Daizi Zheng has come out with a eco friendly phone concept for Nokia which is powered by Coca-Cola. The fuel fuel cells generates electricity from carbohydrates(sugar) in the Coke and it can run on any sugary water not only coke.
Daizi says: The concept is using bio battery to replace the traditional battery to create a pollution free environment. Bio battery is an ecologically friendly energy generates electricity from carbohydrates (currently sugar) and utilizes enzymes as the catalyst. By using bio battery as the power source of the phone, it only needs a pack of sugary drink and it generates water and oxygen while the battery dies out. Bio battery has the potential to operate three to four times longer on a single charge than conventional lithium batteries and it could be fully biodegradable. Meanwhile, it brings a whole new perception to batteries and afternoon tea. “

The London Calling Mobile Phone

It’s a classic K6 Red Telephone Box shaped mobile phone. It features a 65k colour TFT screen, camera, full SMS and MMS functionality, polyphonic ringtones, and GPRS/WAP 2.0. You can set your wallpaper to display one of fifteen different iconic images from old Blighty, plus you can select from Rule Brittania, God Save the Queen, or one of twenty other ringtone melodies.

Rugged Cell Phones Stress Test

Popular Mechanics is picking up some rugged cell phone for a test.
“Ruggedized cellphones are typically designed to comply with Military Specification 810F, able to withstand light shocks, short falls and splashes. But just how far can they go? We took three and pushed them way beyond their spec sheet to approximate real-life mishaps—if real life was a demolition derby run by Navy SEALs. For the phones, it proved to be a one-way trip to PMs lab.
The Sonim looked and felt the toughest, but the Verizon G’zOne Boulder was the winner—it continued to work until it was literally a tangle of plastic shards and wires.”

General Mobile DSTL1 Dual-SIM Android Phone

General Mobile is going to launch its latest dual-SIM Android phone starting June. According to Adroid Authority, the phone will be first released in the US and Turkey, follow with Russia and Germany. The phone comes with a 3-inch TFT resistive touchscreen display with 240 x 400 resolution, a 624MHz Marvell PXA 310 processor, a 5MP autofocus camera with flash, an Android 1.5 Cupcake, dual SIM card slots, a 4GB microSDHC card, music and video players, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, A2DP and supports Tri-band GSM connectivity (900/1800/1900MHz). It has a sleek and simple design and this AQUOS phone features auto-scene selection, auto focusing, LED flash and sensitivity up to 12800 ISO.
